Elnora m. Hale scholarship
In memory of Elnora M. Hale, single mother, career woman and beloved grandmother.
Together with David & Nancy Dinell, The Thread invites single working mothers in leadership to apply for the Elnora M. Hale Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to an individual who demonstrates leadership abilities, creates positive change in the community and challenges the status quo. The Thread aims to bring women together by providing the opportunity to facilitate conversations around inclusive leadership and beyond.
Elnora lived a life of service, fellowship and community outreach. Some of her many accomplishments include being an active member of Credit Women’s Group of Wichita, United Methodist Women, and a charter member of the Prairie Pilot Club and the Kanza Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. She was always looking for new ways to build up the women in her community! The hand of friendship was extended to everyone who met Elnora and she took great delight in being a mentor of women and girls of all ages and walks of life.
“We were so blessed to have Elnora as matriarch of our family. She lived a godly life of serving others humbly.”
-Nancy Dinell
In honoring women such as Elnora and her complete devotion to building up the women of Wichita, The Thread is grateful to extend the Elnora M. Hale Scholarship to single working mothers. See the submission guidelines below:
