The “Forever Decision” Trap

I recently had the opportunity to moderate a panel full of some of Wichita’s most amazing leaders and it was a top moment of the year for me. Mary Beth Jarvis was one of the panelists and she said something that resonated with every one of our Thread team members, so I knew I needed to pass it along. It went something like this:

Many women fall into the trap of thinking that each decision they make is a “forever decision”. When in fact, there are very few forever decisions because almost anything can be changed. Check in with yourself every three months or so and ask yourself if the decisions you have made are still the ones you want to make today. Do they align with your values? With what you want for this season of life? Are you still loving it? Don’t be afraid to re-evaluate and don’t put the burden of “forever” on our decisions.

I hope that resonates with you as much as it did us! Here’s to allowing ourselves to make some different decisions if we need to.
